अगर शेर कहता नहीं मैं तो क्या है,
मेरे नाम का भी शौहर बड़ा है।
इनायत है लोगों की जो दो आता है,
यह उर्दू का किस्सा है फसलें खुदा है।
नहीं तेल घर का चिराग सखन में,
बुलावा है फिर भी हर एक अंजुमन में।
सुनाने गजल शहर दर शहर जाऊं,
करूं बलबन के बिल्ली म्याऊं म्याऊं।
जहां जाओ लोगों को मक्खन लगाऊ,
किसी को खिलाओ किसी को पिलाऊ।
रवैया रवैया चापलूसी का मुझसे दरिया,
इसी बल पर चलता हूं धनबाद झरिया।
असर कुछ निराला है मेरे बड़े में,
यही मुझको रखता है शायरी सफर में।
में कभी इस नगर में कभी उस नगर में,
कनाडा में पेरिस में दोहा कतर में।
कभी जी हजूरी से थकता नहीं हूं,
कर्ज की नगरसेवक ता नहीं हूं।
किसी दर पर दिन रात धूनी रमाई,
किसी दर पर दी है चिकन की दुहाई,
कहीं दुम हिलाई कहीं तुम दवाई।
